The new collaboration single “今夜はブギー･バック” by “TOKYO No.1 SOUL SET + HALCALI” is doing wonders for HALCALI’s popularity. The song was already No.1 on Japan’s largest cellphone download site, “Chaku uta (着うた)”.
And now the song is No.1 on the top 10 downloads list for apple iTunes, seen HERE. Outselling some of the biggest acts in Japan such as B’z, ayaka (絢香) and Tohoshinki (東方神起).
The single is ranked at #4 on the Oricon Daily rankings chart, seen HERE.
HALCALI threads on 2ch, seen HERE, are in a very happy uproar, exclaiming that their next single is the most important part of their coming career. I, too, am hoping that the next single that HALCALI releases is a very good one with a strong impact.

This is the greatest thing they have accomplished since their label switch. I’m so proud of them it’s ridiculous. I feel like a mom who has just watched her kid take its first steps. *screencaps the rankings*

I’m happy they’re continuing to make music. I’m very happy that they are experiencing chart success. I am intrigued by their continued collaborations with other groups and production teams. My big problem is this song. I find it boring, frankly, and I don’t feel like it capitalizes on any of Halcali’s strengths other than their choreography. I feel like anyone could have made this song. I’m looking forward to whatever may be coming next from them.
