More info on the upcoming “ENDLESS NIGHT” (tentative title) & SOUL SET collab singles

According to CDJournal.com, the single will feature Bose of Schadaraparr, who HALCALI have had a longtime friendship with, rapping in the title song which will be produced by RAM RIDER while VERBAL of m-flo will be doing the composition of the b-side, tentatively titled “YES”. “ENDLESS NIGHT” is also stated as being in the genre of “dance pop”. Interestingly enough, the single will also feature the instrumentals to both tracks as well. This could represent EPICjp taking HALCALI more seriously, or at least, taking them in a bit of a different direction. Having instrumental tracks included in a CD as opposed to not included with major pop acts generally means more promotion.

It sounds like our girls are going to be doing what they do best whilst working with, in this writer’s opinion, some of the best producers that they have worked with before (not including the wonderful RIP SLYME, of course).

Incidentally, in HALCA’s newest blog post, she wrote a few lyrics and hints at what the song might sound like. Yesterday they did a recording with an orchestra, and today they’ll be recording the vocals. So, we can expect “ENDLESS NIGHT” to have an orchestra included in the song.

According to neowing, “ENDLESS NIGHT” is a dance pop song that begins with a minor sound and a pleasant feeling groove with lyrics about the feelings of loneliness and isolation that we all as humans carry with us.
The b-side which features VERBAL from m-flo as producer, “YES” will feature a catchy piano riff giving an impressive hip-hop vibe leading the track into becoming an upbeat dance tune.

As for the new single with SOUL SET, it will continue in the same fashion as BOOGIE BACK as being a cover of a famed rap song. The song is said to have an epic fantasy & aggressive sound. BIKKE of SOUL SET stated that in HALCALI’s cute rap style is where their charm lays. Although the track list is yet to be revealed, the single is priced at ¥1,050 so don’t expect any b-sides.

Aaaand in gossip, 2ch members have been proclaiming 2010 looks like it will be HALCALI’s year. They have also been speculating that the SOUL SET cover will be an old song from possibly: m-flo, UA, Dragon Ash…

HALCALI FANS UNITE!

Oh snap! Thanks for the update dude! I’m significantly held back from some of the HALCALI news by the sheer fact that I have like a 5th grade Japanese level.

It looks like the single with Tokyo No.1 Soul Set has been postponed (or canceled..?). I couldn’t find any info regarding the reason.

    Whut ?!

Why ?! Where was this news from ?
If they are canceling ENDLESS NIGHT then that would be a stupid move since its already been featured on radios, and they just shot the PV for it.

It DOES seem that the Soul Set collab single has been canceled; ENDLESS NIGHT, however, is still on board.
I’m chalking this up to miscommunications in publicity. Perhaps, there never was a collab single.

Nah, can’t be just a mistake.
Hopefully it will be back later. However I’ve seen other very concrete releases disappearing from the listings and never coming back…

oh wow that sample sounds so much like capsule. I wonder if Nakata Yasutaka had any hand in making it.

I think a PV Preview has been posted on HALCALI’s official site, but I can’t access since you need an account on Sony Musicjp.

I think what you’re talking about is actually the ChakuUta link to download ringtones of the song.
