Well, it’s not ~confirmed~ yet, but according to their official site, HALCALI’s “new” song “ZIG ZAG SATURDAY NIGHT” will be the theme to the new drama “MUSICAL3″ on TOKYO MIX! This is wonderful wonderful news! A theme song to a drama is great exposure. The main site says that release information will be updated soon, so I’ll post again as soon as I see it.

Apparently, 『MUSICAL3』 is a ‘one situation musical comedy drama,’ and the basic idea of the drama is that there are 3 lovable sisters that all live together in one house. The cast includes Nonami Maho, Nakamura Yuri and Asami Reina.

Also, for those of you that do not know, this song was recorded in late April of 2008. Yucali told us this in Chicago during their live back in May 2008. The song is very upbeat, a little bit electropop-hiphop with tons of fast paced rap. This is the quintessential kind of music that most fans ask for from HALCALI (in my opinion, of course). Everyone please look forward to it! I know I can barely contain myself!!!

As for the new TOKYO No.1 SOUL SET + HALCALI single, neowing says that it is “ユー・メイ・ドリーム” (You May Dream) originally byシーナ&ロケッツ (Shiina & Rockets) which was a huge hit in 1979. Here is the original song. Also, the TOKYO No1 SOUL SET song “Sunday 2010″ will be included as well.
