Let me tell you. Today was so crazy.
For me, I was not chosen to go to the live, but after my friend entered, he said that all they did to enter inside was look at the email they received, SO, my friend sent me the email and I GTFO'd my house and ran as quickly to the trains to the Sony Music building in Nogizaka. And I brought my America friend with me. It was her first HALCALI live. ;)
I arrived about 30 minutes after it started. And since I wasn't expecting to go, I was looking a hot mess. :o And I hadn't made them any chocolate, nor had a written them a note. :( But I am lucky to have even gone! Plus, I'm hoping to meet them tomorrow in Shinjuku, so I will have a chance then.
Sorry- back on track.

When I arrived, ヨースケ@HOME (yosuke@HOME) was also coming on stage. They performed the rare HALCALI song, which is only performed once a year on Valentine's Day, 義理チョコ (giri CHOCO). It was SO awesome. If any of you heard the live version from last year, it was twice as good as that one. This time it was not just acoustic, but DJ KiMJUN was there, too, and he threw in some awesome hip hop beats, too. It was a really awesome song with KiMu. Then after that, they performed a special version of Orange Sunset with ヨースケ@HOME, which was also very awesome. :D After that, they played their 'final' song, Re:やさしい気持ち (Re:yasashii kimochi), which represented the theme of the live very well. Also, I didn't notice, but in the live version, the girls add in extra verses after the second chorus. They also sing "1 Love" during the ending parts, and end it singing "私を抱きしめて" in a very nice harmony. These girls have GREAT harmony with each other when singing live. I guess it comes from singing together for 6 or 7 years or so.
After that was the encore, which was sadly just one song, but on the good side, it was one of my favorites ever: コンティニュード (Continued).

Afterward, they said that if we bought a CD, we would get a special signed gift and get to shake hands with them. SO I DID. Good thing I hadn't bought Re:やさしい気持ち yet, otherwise I'd have two copies on my hands XD although, I should check out HMV for that special packaging... :o
The girls were on a time limit to get through everyone, and the working guy behind us would kind of push us along, so in that hurried moment, I forgot to mention something to them. :|
But, when I walked up to the table Halca was totally shocked to see me, and Yucali was also surprised, but Halca was frozen for a good couple of seconds. XDDD We hadn't seen each other since December, so it was definitely 久しぶり (long time no see). XD We talked for a moment and I told them that I'd be here longer than expected, so I'll be at many more of their concerts. The guy behind me and the guy filming us remarked on my Japanese skills (:O I'm not that good, really, I'm not), and they were all surprised that I was from Chicago. They gave me a signed card saying Happy Valentine's Day, see below, and Yucali gave me some chocolates. :) But I wish I had made choco for them- but, like I said, I wasn't even expecting to go. :D

So~ As far as information goes, they didn't say too much in the time that I was there except one thing: they're probably doing a one-man live this year!!! That's AWESOME NEWS. Not only for the fact that I'll probably be able to go, but because they're getting promotion and such.
Actually, personally, I think this single's release is doing really good for them. LKGB didn't have very much press or promotion, but this single's getting a lot. I've heard it a couple of times on the radio and street, and I don't even listen to the radio. I think this is a great step for them! I hope they keep the releases coming and play off of this popularity.

So, pictures are included on the bottom, along with a translation of the Japanese Valentine Day Report that member, amj, found. Thanks, amj. :)

This live was for 100 groups of 200 fans which downloaded the new song Re:yasashii kimochi on chaku uta. The show and the chosen songs had a strong Valentine mood, and there was plenty of talking [amongst Halca & Yucali]. And furthermore, HALCALI said that they were doing their first handshake session in Japan. And all of that fans that gathered had very happy expressions.

HALCALI are at the moment in the middle of working on their new album. Next week, on February 20th and 21st, in Kyoto and Osaka they're also performing at TERIYAKI BOYZ's live, as well."

Funny enough, I'm in the second picture (in the pink&black HALCALI shirt) on that site. :D Here are the two pictures from natalie.mu:

SHINJUKU REPORT

So, today I went to the free live that they did outside Shinjuku Station.
There were lots of creepy ojiisan there because the event had a bunch of young, aspiring female singers- so the creepy shut-in ojiisan showed up for it. Also there were some creepy ojiisan HALCALI fans there, too. -_- they were standing in front of me and blocking my view- regardless both girls noticed me and smiled. :) I felt bad for them, though, because at these kinds of free lives, most of the people there are just passerbys, so they're not really too into clapping and joining in with the music, especially in Japan. But both girls gave it their all to get them pumped up. Early on during their set, a loud homeless guy pushed his way through people and stood near me at the front row. I felt bad for Yucali because she ran up to the crowd and was giving them high fives or letting them sing the song or something (i couldn't see too well because she was on the opposite side of the set up stage) then as she went toward the center (where the homeless guy was) he reached out at her to grab her. :( She was obviously a bit startled, but if you hadn't been watching her the whole time, you wouldn't have even noticed. anyway, it was just a so-so show, for them. I felt bad. Also, Yucali caught a cold! She was visibly tired by the last song.

Re:やさしい気持ち (Re:yasashii kimochi)

After they ended they went back to their tent. I walked around to the back to give them my late valentine's day gift. I felt bad about doing that, but I made them chocolate earlier that morning and wrote them a note (on unpretty notebook paper :? ). So I asked the staff if I could give it to them, and they said they'd be out in a minute to leave; they were catching a taxi. So they came out (Yucali was wearing a medical mask, because of her cold. Poor girl :( ), and greeted me with "anthonyyyyyy!" And I gave them my chocolates personally! And I told them I wasn't sure if they could or couldn't eat them (because of the whole being famous thing), but Yucali said they would. So I was happy~ And they gave me high fives, and then Halca TOTALLY PWNED ME by making me miss her hand THREE TIMES. T_T But it's actually kinda cool to be pwned by Halca. lol and she told me 'thank you for being our friend' as they left.
It felt really good to see them and talk to them face to face two days in a row- especially since I hadn't done that since October or November, I think.

Sorry- this entry was a little conceded maybe... :X

AAAAAAND update on the Secret Valentine Day Live as well. The correct set list was posted on 2ch earlier. 2ch users said that the setlist was 'love' themed. :) That being said, I would've LOVED to have heard 'clutch' live. ;___; I wish I could've gotten there sooner... anyway! sorry! :)

Ojiisan? The urbandictionary says something about japanese for Grandpa.

Anyway, I hope she's OK. Once when I was like eleven I felt a bit uneasy when some guy suddenly was pushed by his gang and landed up on me from behind! (Er, he wasn't the type to say sorry.) But I got over it fast.
Or well, I guess she's OK by now. I hope she recovers quickly from her cold!

I envy everyone who was at the Valentine concert and heard "Giri Choco". What does it sound like?
